We invite you to join us this spring at the 14th Akita International Sumo Tournament. Every summer for the past 13 years a charity sumo tournament has been held in Akita City. Proceeds from the tournament go to a charitable cause. We have wrestlers of every shape, size, and experience level, so if you're interested, please sign up to compete! If competing isn't really your style but you'd like to help out, let us know that you would like to volunteer. And of course you can just come as a spectator and see your friends challenge each other in the ring. WHEN Saturday, June 9: Doors open at 11:30am. WHERE The event will be held at the Akita Kenritsu Budōkan (秋田県立武道館). COST The entrance fee is to be paid upon arrival. There are no advance tickets. Spectators - 1000円 Middle school and high school students - 500円 Elementary school students and younger - FREE Volunteers and wrestlers will receive a 500円 discount. CHARITY TBD
